BBC Worldwide's Indie Unit is to build on its relationship with independent producer Dangerous Films, having signed a long-term development and distribution deal with them today.

BBC Worldwide already has international distribution rights for Dangerous Films’ extensive primetime back-catalogue, including the recent emotive drama documentary 9/11 - The Twin Towers. Under the terms of the agreement, BBC Worldwide acts as Dangerous Films’ international distributor and co-producer for forthcoming productions, including the Five-commissioned biopic about the Princess of Wales, Diana - Last Days of a Princess. This is one of the most co-produced and pre-sold titles this year for BBC Worldwide, seeing deals with TF1 in France, ProSieben in Germany, Discovery in US, Channel One in Russia, Australia, Italy, Sweden and Spain.
