BBC WORLDWIDE ANNOUNCES SALE OF OVER 130 HOURS TO PBS SYNDICATION
BBC Worldwide Sales and Distribution has announced the sale of over 130 hours of programming to PBS stations, on the heels of the second annual BBC Showcase for PBS Stations in New Orleans. Over 60 public television programmers from across the country attended the Showcase.
Attendees were presented programs from BBC Worldwide's vast catalogue of over 50,000 hours of programming including 6,000 hours available for digital distribution and 825 hours of high definition. Affiliates were able to take advantage of second and third window programming on popular titles in the U.S. including Life on Mars, Doctor Who and MI-5. The deals were brokered by Julius Cain, Vice President, PBS Sales, BBC Worldwide, America.

The BBC Showcase for PBS stations was developed from the hugely successful annual BBC Showcases in Brighton, England and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
