BBC Drama has commissioned P.A.s, a bold new six-part comedy drama series through BBC Scotland.

Produced by 2am TV for BBC Three, P.A.s is an off-beat, fast-paced, funny, sexy and candid depiction of office life. It follows the fortunes of four personal assistants in the city - the secrets and lies they hold, the men they date and work for and the balance of power between them and their high-paid, hugely privileged bosses. Set against an emotional backdrop of friendship, ambition, sex, sexual politics, romance and filing, P.A.s brings together many of the elements which make up office life.

The six hour-long episodes were written and created by Gabbie Asher (EastEnders,Only Girls, Dogma)and will be produced by 2am TV's Gillian McNeill (Casanova, Vanity Fair).

BBC Worldwide has provided funding for the series in return for the international distribution rights.

Filming for P.A.s is expected to start in early 2008 in Scotland. The six-part series is scheduled to transmit on BBC Three in 2008/9. Details of casting to follow.
