Launched in 1999, BBC Worldwide's Indie Unit is responsible for acquiring and distributing international rights in programming. As a specialist branch of BBC Worldwide, we operate independently of the BBC and are a one-stop shop for the distribution requirements of the UK's top independent production companies.

We are currently working on over £30 million of output agreements, development deals and investments across children's, factual, drama and comedy.
